You're going home
22 Oct 2026 to 24 Oct 2026 · 2 nights
Why you were here
Chest tightness and a fever that would not settle after a cold. You stayed so the team could watch your breathing and start antibiotics.
What we did
Pneumonia in the right lung. You had oxygen and antibiotics through a vein for the first night, then tablets. Your breathing eased, and the chest X-ray on the second morning looked better. You are well enough to go home.

Care at home
Finish the antibiotic even if you feel well. Rest, and drink water through the day. Use the ibuprofen only when the fever or the ache comes back. Skip driving if you still feel light-headed.
Come back if
Come back if breathing gets harder, a fever climbs above 101.5°F after two days of tablets, you cough up blood, chest pain turns sharp, or you feel faint.
Still waiting
A sputum culture is still in the lab. City General will add the result here if it changes the antibiotic. You do not need to call for it.
Who to call
This is the paperwork from the door, in one place. Hale keeps it on this machine. It does not replace the people who treated you.
